3. Our tone in preaching should be clear. Biblical humility in no way comes from an uncertainty about the truth of our message. Too often today there is a wrong kind of timidity. We actually act as if we are scared that we may be understood. True humility, though, centered on God and His Word, brings a bold clarity. It is the humility of a herald who would not dare change the message of the King who sent him but who also would not dare to speak that message with anything but the firmest conviction
